I hope it saves someone else a lot of time. Success! I’ll document thoroughly what I did in this post for others in the future. Maybe I’m going about this all wrong but this is the closest I’ve come to getting this working. Using the -drive-impersonate flag gets this response from Google Drive: Response. However, when I open the source browser from the bin, I try to link (Using the same link process I was told before by stopping at the folder right before BPAV, and linking that to the bin) and it gives me this error message. I was told to Link in AVID8.6.1 by using the "Source Browser". I'm guessing in the worst case scenario I can just link those media clips to Avid again? However, I'm trying to do that now, and I can't. Transferred all the media clips from the EX-1 memory card, onto the G-drive. I am hoping that even though all of the cuts appear offline in all my bins, I can at least re link all my media files to AVID since I have them all stored on my G-Drive SOMEWHERE? I don't know where any of the media is or how to access it. You may have left it behind on the hard disk of the other Mac. Look at the Drive column in the bin, which will tell you which disk the media is on. If the clips wre Consolidated or Transcoded, they won't have the link symbol on their clip icons, and they'll be in an MXF folder somewhere. An easy way to relink those clips is to literally repeat the linking process by alt-dragging the clips back into the bin from the finder (or you can redo the linking via the Source Browser if you prefer). If the clips were linked, you can see the file path to the media by displaying the "Source Path column in the bin. You can tell if the clips were linked by the icon in the bin (in Text view) - it'll have a little chain link symbol. It's often a good idea to Consoiidate or Transcode your media to get it into an MXF folder structure.īut it's likely that if you originally linked the media into the Project originally and didn't either Consolidate or Transcode it, you'll have to re-link it to bring it back online. Not sure "correct" is the right word necessarily.
